MindMapper Testimonials
"Valuable tool in any organization quality tool box..."
MindMapper was introduced at Union Pacific Railroad in May 2001. It was originally intended to fill gaps we found in our existing process modeling software. It has succeeded in bridging those gaps, and adding value in a number of other ways.
Essentially, I was searching for a tool that would enable easy creation and updating of process maps and documents. Another critical requirement is output that is readable and understandable without the need for specialized training. MindMapper meets those needs and remains a cost effective application for this type of software. The ability to use MindMapper interactively (live) is a real plus. In benchmarking similar applications, I haven't found the same high level of capability for rapid map construction and updates.
UPRR is currently using MindMapper within our Information Technologies and Network Design & Integration departments. It provides value to the business by supporting interactive "brainstorming" sessions, "requirements definition" analysis, and for live "project management" startup sessions. The capability of saving and importing mindmaps to and from MS-Office and Project saves considerable re-keying time. To date, UPRR has developed over 30 process maps, covering role based, and functional processes using the MindMapper tool.
In summary, use of MindMapper is growing at UPRR as people become more exposed to it's features and I highly recommend MindMapper as a valuable tool in any organizations quality tool-box.

"MindMapper is an incredible tool"
For me, MindMapper is an incredible tool. It does for mind mapping what word processing does for prose. The ability to cut, paste, edit and reformat has really changed my life. I do most of my thinking with mind mapping. In the past, I would create a map, but I would rarely have the time to draw the whole thing all over again to update it.
Truly, it has doubled or tripled my productivity. Here in Tokyo we spend a lot of time on the train. I work on many projects while on the train. Usually, the train is too crowded for me to use a clipboard, paper and pen. Nor do I want to carry this paraphernalia. I do carry a small memo pad. Prose is not my mode of choice nor is it possible to work on a large, important project in a memo pad. Of course I map in the memo pad, but updating hand drawn maps is too daunting.
Now I map in the memo pad, and when I get home I transcribe it into MindMapper and print it out on B5 paper. The next day I carry the map folded up in my breast pocket and do more work. When I get home that night, I update the map in MindMapper a matter of minutes. The process is repeated day by day. Soon I find that I have completed a great deal of work even though I have not had time to work at my desk. Honest to goodness, MindMapper is a godsend.

"Wah hey! Yeah, okay"
Yes, I've got this baby open and have already developed my first maps - helping us think-through a research project about coffee. One of the benefits of the whole system is that it breaks us out of Lineal Disease - a rather nasty condition brought on by over-dependence on PowerPoint. (See the recent New Yorker pierce on what PPT does to our thinking skills.) The JPEG below represent my first 45 minutes on MindMapper. Easy to learn or what??

"The best way to predict the future is to create it."
After your nice note I just had to spent some time looking at your
product and get a feel for it so I downloaded the demo version and
took a ?very quick? test run to see if I could get the hang of it
without a learners permit.
Within 10 minutes I was navigating like a pro - very impressive. At first I didn't like not being "in control" of where the nodes positioning themselves from a box and wanted to drag them and/or a node to a new location or position and change where the node fits etc., maybe you can do this to develop more of a concept map/mind map and flow charts rather than branching tree where nodes all come from same location? Like from top, bottom, left and right side corners? Did I miss this feature?
But then I realized I liked the software placing things in a "best fit" position, saved a whale of a lot of time in developing the diagram rather than trying to inch things around and position them manually. The fit page is really super in combo with the zoom. The outline 1 click-very nice and neat. Found an interesting feature in tracing a branch using the arrow keys. Is this by design? Very handy feature indeed.
Please forgive my very very very quick spin as I am sure I didn't exploit but only a fraction of what the software can do. Very impressive software. Any way to get me a full version with manual etc. so I can cut my learning time down and get "the whole picture"? I would like to spend more time with some diagram development to see if I can get some different layouts. Does the complete version have more features or?
How public are you with the product? I noticed you are in the process of developing for Mac? Networkable? Lab packs? Cost for networkable solutions or? The price looks great. What lead you to develop the product? There are other similar products-what market are you looking at? What's your vision for the product and the future?

"I am pleased to enclose a check to purchase your MindMapper software."
I am pleased to enclose a check to purchase your MindMapper software. I can't remember when I've enjoyed a software package so much as I have in using yours! Congratulations on making the software easy to use and intuitive enough that I can concentrate on my mind maps, not on how to operate the software. Please e-mail the confirmation of my order.

"Thank your for the quick response to my questions."

"Absolutely wonderful product!"
I think it is an absolutely wonderful product. Also, the Word document that describes the product is extremely well written. It does an excellent job in defining the product's capabilities in just 33 pages of clearly written text and well used screenshots and other graphics. Thanks to all for a top notch product. Please keep me on your mailing list for future news and updates. Thanks again for your time. Take care and have a great day.

"It had so many needed features!"
I recently purchased your MindMapper program, I had no idea it had so many needed features! Our company has always used MindMan in the past but after they offered an upgrade to v 3.5 at to high of a cost we felt a need to look elsewhere, glad we found you. Thank you for offering such a great tool at such a reasonable price.

" just wanted to tell you about your product and how it has changed my life"
I just wanted to tell you about your product and how it has changed my life. I am 49 years old, and I am a Certified Public Accountant. I've had a learning disability all of my life. Your Mindmapper program is a miracle for me. Using it, I have almost instant recall, of extremely complicated subjects. I don't know exactly how it does this for me, but for the first time in my life, I read something once, using this incredible software, and it sticks with me!!!
Thank you again for Helping me
